Heat Trace Limited is proud to announce that that we are celebrating being named winners of a Queen’s Award for Enterprise – the UK’s highest accolade for business success.  We have received our award in the Innovation category. This award is in recognition of our innovation and continuing development in the field of semi-conductive polymer heating elements, or self-regulating heating cables.

Heat Trace Limited self-regulating heating cables  are now used across the globe for a myriad of different applications, encompassing many different industry sectors such as onshore, inshore and offshore oil & gas, petrochemical, food processing, power generation, railway and transportation, automotive – to name but a few. We even have our residential product range called HeatSafe Cable.

From freeze protection solutions, to high temperature maintenance applications, the extensive range of products now offers the highest withstand temperatures, the highest power outputs and the highest operating voltages available from any other manufacturer worldwide.  What is more, all products are manufactured in the UK.

Established in 1974 by current owner and Chairman, Neil S Malone, the company now employs 63 personnel at its two plants in the North West - the main corporate HQ in Helsby, Cheshire and at the company’s Technology and Innovation Centre in Bredbury, Cheshire.

Heat Trace’s products are distributed through a chain of affiliate companies, partner companies and distributors, strategically located around the world, ensuring representation in over 50 countries.

This year the company is also celebrating 40 years in the industry – another milestone for Heat Trace Limited who continue to “Set the Standards and Lead the Way” in our industry.

This is the second Queen’s Award that the company has received, the first being in 1987.

On receiving the 2014 Queen’s Award for Enterprise in Innovation category, Chairman Neil Malone says,

    “Heat Trace’s Innovation culture has now filtered down to its second generation.  The company currently has more patents or applications than at any time in its 40 year history“.
