FailSafe Ultimo (FSU / FSUw)

FailSafe Ultimo is an industrial grade self-regulating heating cable that can be used for freeze protection or temperature maintenance of pipework and vessels. It can be cut-to-length on site to match exact piping lengths without any complicated design considerations.

FailSafe Ultimo is approved for use in non-hazardous, and hazardous areas to worldwide standards. Its self-regulating characteristics improve safety and reliability.

FailSafe Ultimo will not overheat or burnout, even when overlapped upon itself. Its power output self-regulates in response to the pipe temperature.

FailSafe Ultimo is available with a corrosion resistant fluoropolymer outer jacket (FSU-NF / FSUw-NF).

The installation of FailSafe Ultimo is quick and simple and requires no special skills or tools. Termination, splicing and power connection components are all provided in convenient kits.

FailSafe Ultimo is available in 15, 30, 45, 60, 75 W/m outputs and FailSafe Ultimo Wide is available in 100 W/m output, as illustrated on the graph to the right. The graph shows the nominal power output at 230V when installed on insulated metal pipes.
