Junior Purchasing Administrator

Heat Trace is a manufacturing and engineering company with our headquarters and main manufacturing unit in Helsby Cheshire, we also have two manufacturing facilities at Bredbury, Stockport. The prime activity of the business is the manufacture of highly technical heating cables for use predominantly in the oil and gas and advanced processing industries.


About the role:

Working along side the Purchasing Manager helping with basic administration leading up to raising and monitoring of stock and purchase order placement and eventually all purchase related tasks.


Responsibilities:

Key areas of responsibility will include:

  • General admin tasks – filing, copying, scanning
  • Spreadsheet maintenance and compilation
  • Contact updates via Supplier Information forms
  • Purchase enquiry submissions
  • Stationery, canteen, cleaning supplies stock monitoring and eventually ordering
  • Record keeping and file maintenance – electronic and paper systems
  • Set up communal Supplier contact data including updates
  • Assist with basic purchasing functions
  • Update and maintain Supplier Contract data
  • Relationship building with HTL team and Suppliers
  • Invoice / accounts queries
  • Involvement in purchase function progression within HTL

  • Organised
  • Work confidence will grow with time but must have the confidence from the onset to be able to ask questions if any uncertainty
  • Basic knowledge of computer systems, word, excel, email, internet searches
  • Aptitude for taking on new and sometimes complex challenges
  • Willingness to get involved in what sometimes might not be purchase related
